TRIMBORN
Benoît Trimborn, born in 1976 in Schiltigheim-Strasbourg, France, studied architecture while pursuing music at the Strasbourg Conservatory. In 2010, he devoted himself entirely to painting, leaving behind his career as an architect. He was first represented in galleries across France, Switzerland, Belgium, and later in the United States, in New York and Boston.
His works focus exclusively on landscape and domesticated nature. As a contemporary impressionist, he invites contemplation. The calmness and sobriety of his canvases contrast with the world's bustle, creating a serene universe where time seems suspended.
Trimborn describes his approach: "The morphology of landscapes, or more fundamentally, the space drawn by the countryside, captures my attention. Like an architect, I perceive a breathing, a light, a rhythm which, by themselves, can embody a principle of beauty. These countryside locations move through seasons, weather and agricultural variations, naturally leading me to painting."
His paintings seek to faithfully capture the atmosphere of the elements depicted, like a musician following a score. For him, the contemplative attitude prevails over any narrative or symbolic adventure. He emphasizes the absence of message, allowing each viewer to fully immerse themselves in the impression conveyed by his works.
